In 1983, I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel through parts of Europe while singing in a National Sacred Choral group. We sang in many churches and Cathedrals as parts of the tour. Notre Dame Cathrdreal was one of the stops. I am sickened and heartbroken for the loss of such wondrous and ancient art and architecture. As we stood in all of the old cathedrals, I could not help but imagine every other soul who may have stood in that very spot before me. Another being, feeling the same sense of awe and amazement while taking in all that was surrounding him. Prayers for France, and the citizens of Paris as they mourn this great loss, and prepare for the restorations to come.
